Kids Go to Centennial Park

It's been a couple of days since we've posted an update. Mom lost our camera so we are using our old camera, which is big and the batteries die often. So we often don't have the camera when we need it. This past weekend, Mom and the kids went to Centennial Park, where we ran through a maze (and gotten pleasantly wet by the sprinklers on another hot day) and played Croquet.

Washington Trip - Olympic National Park and Seattle

The Pergandes had an amazing trip to Washington State. We visited Olympic National Park, with our friends the Kellerans and the Ansells, where we saw amazing wildlife, hiked to the Glaciers, saw amazing waterfalls, and experiened the circle of life (of wildlife). We also spent a couple of days in Seattle where we visited Mommy's friend Ann, went to Pike Place Market to see the flying fish and have coffee at the original Starbucks, visited the Seattle Aquarium, fed the seagulls at Ivar's, and went to a Seattle Mariners' game. Here are some excerpts from our trip.

4th of July - Chicago and Connecticut

The Pergandes (including Stanley) traveled to Chicago for the 4th of July. For the weekend, Mom and Dad got away to Connecticut while Grammie, Grandma Harriet, Grandma Wanda, and Auntie Kimmie hung out with the kids. Here are several pictures and stories from our trip....

On Tuesday, July 3rd, Mom and the kids went swimming in Hinsdale. Canyon and Presley were brave jumping off the diving board (Presley 1st, Canyon 2nd). Mom went off the high dive but that photo is not as fun to share.

We also went to the Lincoln Park Zoo where the kids played in the fountains, climbed in towers, and got face to face (literally) with a gorilla and a bear. Presley also gave her funny face to the camera with her Aunt Kimmie.

For the weekend, Mom and Dad flew to Connecticut to celebrate our friends' Mike and Danielle's wedding. Also got to see the amazing Mark Twain house. "Alway obey your parents when they are present."

And before heading back to Minneapolis, Canyon got special solitair lessons from Great Grandma Wanda who will be 89 this summer!
