Grammie & Aunt Kimmy Visit Easter Weekend

Grammie and Aunt Kimmy made it to Minneapolis on Easter Weekend, despite a weekend full of snow.... and more snow! We had a wonderful visit. The kids were excited to show off their skating skills with them at the local community center. We also went to a great Easter party, put on by the Optimist Club at Northwestern Health Sciences University. The kids met Vinnie the Vertebrae, saw Darren the musician, got their faces painted, hugged the Easter Bunny, and most " importantly" for the kids, got to be a part of a great (and fast) egg hunt in the snow. During the weekend, we also had a screening of Auntie Annie's Matchmaker's documentary and also went to Grumpy's Downtown, where we got "grumpy" and enjoyed some new local brews from the Surly company (Bender and Furious). Fun, fun, weekend!

St. Patty's Day Week

On March 15th, Mom and Dad took the Polar Bear Plunge with some of our neighbors. We jumped into the frigid and icy waters of Round Lake in Eden Prairie to raise money for Special Olympics while Canyon and Presley cheered us on. Where else could you do this but Minnesota? This was most likely our first and last polar bear plunge. Absolutely crazy! But we do have the video to prove it!

The kids were so excited to get dressed up for St. Patrick's Day. Aunt Kimmy helped make the holiday a success with all her great additions to their green wear. Thanks Aunt Kimmy!

Mom and Dad got to check out the amazing Bon Jovi and Daughtry in the General Mills box at the Excel Center with our I-squad colleagues. What a way to to see the show!

Mom Travels to Europe

Mom left for 8 days for a trip to Divonne, France for a work project with General Mills. Divonne is just outside of Switzerland. It was the longest time she had ever been away from the kids. Mom worked extremely hard but also got to enjoy some fun with two friends from General Mills that now live in Switzerland. On her last day, she went skiing in the Swiss Alps at Verbier with her friend Arielle, and enjoyed a nice dinner with her friend Tiffany. Ironically, Canyon went on a field trip with school to the Science Museum that exact same day and saw an IMAX file on the Alps. Canyon also officially finished his first season of Mini-Mite hockey this week. He's shown here with his team, the Green Dragons, and his coaches.
