February feels like we are just keeping our heads above water. The weeks have been filled with the kids activities, illnesses, and Ron travelling for work. However, I did catch a couple of pics of the kids' activities. Canyon is working very hard to improve his skating skills this hockey season (and perfect his left stop). At one of his practices, he was excited to wear the "Chopping Wood" jersey. His coach awards the jersey based upon who is working the hardest at practice. And Presley enjoyed a great season of Rookie Camp Basketball. We also enjoyed the annual YMCA Valentines Day concert. It was fun to watch both Presley and Canyon in the concert. They both sang loud and proud.

February 9th Birthday Celebration!
The kids have created a family tradition celebration with their birthday celebration dinner at Osaka. They love Osaka for the Japanese sodas, the flaming torpedos, the peeing man, the shrimp being thrown in their mouth, and most of all the crazy birthday masks. I can't believe they are 8 and 6. Slow down kids!
Presley's 6th Birthday Celebration
Presley wants to be a big kid just like her brother and decided she wanted a sleep over for her birthday, just like her brother. And of course, she wanted two boys over, just like her brother. We thought better now than when she's 14. So she had her friends Arie from school and her good friend Ben from preschool over for a night of sledding, arts and crafts, and a movie. She was also very excited to celebrate with a Viking's cake (much to Dad's dismay). The night went fairly smoothly and she's already gearing up for her 7th birthday! The following night Mom and Dad enjoyed a night out with friends in too see the Wild play the Flyers in an Xcel Energy box. It was a great night with a Wild win!

Canyon's Birthday Celebration
Canyon chose to have a sleep over for his birthday celebration this year. Since we are new to the whole sleep over thing, we decided 2 friends would be a good number and found a day that worked with his busy hockey schedule. Canyon chose Joe and Isaac from school. They started the night with sledding on the hill, pizza from Domino's, a blizzard cake from Dairy Queen, some Wii playing, and a movie. The kids camped out in the basement and woke up way too early, ready to enjoy chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Canyon said it was an awesome birthday and wants to do it again next year!
