Staying Cool in the Hot Summer

This summer has been extremely hot. Our days on the boat have kept us cool and our favorite days are when we can share it with pals. This month, we went with the Smith family for a day of tubing, swimming, and relaxing. A really great day on Lake Minnetonka!

Land of 10,000 Lakes

Summer highlights in MN must include some time spent on the water. This month we were fortunate to get invited to our pals' family cabin for the day. The kids got to play with their friends on the RAV and fishing off the dock. And a big highlight was Canyon and Presley getting a feel for water skiing with a water ski board. They both got up and both did great! Mom and Dad also learned the safer way to teach so if we try this on our own, we don't drag the kids through the water. We did have a slight mishap when our pal Craig, dropped a bottle on Mom's little toe. Three weeks later it's just starting to heal. Ouch!

Spending Time With Friends

My favorite part of summer is really spending time with friends and family. This month, the kids and Ron went to visit their preschool as "alumni" for an ice cream social. Here are the kids with their Chameleon teacher Denise.

Summer also means neighborhood parties. This year, our neighbors had a huge swimming slide to enjoy the nice summer day with friends.

Presley's good friend Arie was an Oompa Loompa in Willy Wonka. We went to support her friend and enjoy the play as a family. Presley got to see two versions of Willy Wonka this summer. But the Oompa Loompas with Arie were "the best".

We always cherish time with our California and Anderson pals. Our pal Sean was in town for a business trip and was nice enough to have dinner with our crew. He was also amazing at eating up our CSA farm kale chips!
