MEA Weekend on Gull Lake

For the last two years, we have ventured North with some other hockey families to enjoy the long weekend. This year was filled with a ton of fun highlights for the parents and kids....

Our cozy cabin...

Lots of time at the resort pool...

And in the chilly lake...

Our group wins big on bingo night (but not the Pergande kids)...

We enjoyed games of football (Canyon was injured early)...

And family bonfires...

Parents enjoyed watching the kids do karaoke...

And the kids created amazing scarecrows...

A fun filled weekend!

Soccer and Football Updates

Presley's soccer season with the Flaming Pink Lava has just came to end. Her team had a great season with only 1 loss. She loved playing with her friends and just loves this sport, always going to the field at least an hour early!

Canyon's football season is coming to an end as well. Canyon's team won every regular season game and they are now preparing for the playoffs. Canyon played quarter back and was pretty tough on defense too (catching those players trying to get a breakaway). Much to Mom's dismay.... Canyon LOVES football.

Fall Fun Memories

Fall has been fun. Kids are busy in sports, including football, baseball, volleyball, and hockey. But it's also been filled with some fun experiences with Cristina. Canyon, Presley and I ran the Eagle Heights Fun Run, a fundraiser for the school. Cristina also treated us to a traditional Spanish Omelette. It was Cristina's first time making it on her own and it was a success. We also took Cristina and another intern out downtown to start experiencing more of MN beyond Eden Prairie. Fun night with Cristina and Marta.

Jim's Apple Farm

This year we ventured to Jim's Apple Farm in Jordan MN, which wasn't a farm, but in fact the largest candy store in MN. While Jim's still bas apples, he shifted his business a bit a couple of years ago when he was hit witha bad apple season. Jim's apple farm is a super cool place with hundreds of kinds of root beer, over a hundred variety of licorice, 4,000 unique puzzles and aisles and aisles of candy. The kids and Cristina were in 7th heaven. We picked out root beers for tasting, an original spanish puzzle to complete, and some pumpkins to decorate our outside. And yes, some candy!!
