Cooperstown Bound with Pitstop in Akron Ohio

One of our 2014 summer adventures was heading to Cooperstown to participate in the prestigious Cooperstown Baseball tournament for 12 year olds -- 104 teams from all over the country in the town of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. It is a 20 hour drive to NY. We decided to make the most of the trip and visit Auntie in Akron, Ohio on our way. We enjoyed dinner with her friend Tom, a surprise 1/2 birthday for the kids, and a fun game night. We had a great night sleep and powered down for the remainder of our road trip to Cooperstown...

Summer Speeding By....

We are moving quickly from July into August. We have been blessed with the most amazing weather this July. This last week of July was a good one...Kids and mom got out to frisbee golf again this week. This week we went to the Bryant Lake course. A very tough 18 hole course but we continue to get better every time we go...

This week we also ended our swim lessons at Foss. Our last treat was rootbeer floats and sorbet spritzers at Crema Cafe...

This week, Canyon was invited to play in a hockey tournament in Blaine. After his first game, we went out to watch bike racing with his pal Zac at the Velodrome, where bikers race on a slanted track. It was a cool night with lots of different races. The kids were rooting for "Aa-Ron" with the big mustache!

After his second game, Canyon was invited to go boating on Lake Pepin with his pal. The boys had fun exploring...

This week, we finally made it out to see music at Staring Lake. We enjoyed Rat Pack era music, great picnic food, and a beautiful sunset with our pals, the Hirsches...

After Canyon's last game, we got the unique experience to see the international soccer teams of Manchester City and Olympiacos play at our local TCF Stadium. It was a great game that ended in a penalty kick shoot out...

And it wouldn't be summer without summer craft projects. With much diligence, Presley completed building a Leonardo DaVinci catapult. Now she is shooting balls all over the house...
