First Week of November

The first week of November was filled with many "firsts" for the Pergande family.

Ron and Trisha went to their first Bob Dylan show at the famous Orpheum Theater. It's amazing that this music legend is still playing. We are excited that we were able to catch him live.

Presley pulled her first "all-nighter" with a 7pm to 7am Lock-in event for 5th and 6th graders. She and her friends played games at St. Andrews Church, made scarves for the homeless, swam in the pool and climbed rockwalls at Dakotah Center and ended with bowling, lazer tag and arcade games at Brunswick Bowl. Amazingly, she made it the whole night. When she got home, she slept until 4:30 pm and when she woke up said, "can't wait to do it again next year".

Ron went to a MN Gopher's game with one of our pals and got to go on the field for the first time after a game. Gophers won and we think it is because of this giant player!

The kids were off from school on Friday for teacher development day. Mom, Canyon, and Presley drove down to Red Wing to have lunch with Great Granny and Carol. What a great way to spend special time with these amazing women!

Halloween 2014

Because Canyon was heading north for Halloween, we decided to have some pre-Halloween fun with some of Canyon's teammates and families before they left. We hosted a pumpkin carving contest, with the results being audited by KPMG. Fun night that maybe we should make a tradition!

The Halloween weekend was kicked off with another home project. We are clearing out some of our backyard to enjoy our "waterfront" property. All the big trucks and rocks came on Friday to greet our trick or treaters! However, we still got our traditional halloween decorations up as well!

Mom visited Presley's classroom on Halloween to participate in her fall party. I love being able to spend more time in her classroom!

Since Canyon was up north, Presley decided to go trick or treating with some friends. She and her friends got dressed up as babies. Love her in the pigtails! She slept in her costume and then got up to practice some saxophone in the morning! Fun!

And then it was the adults' turn. Because Ron was out of town, Mom went to our pals' annual halloween bash with a girlfriend. She was a spelling bee. Get it? Fun night and great to see all the adults get dressed up.

2014-15 Hockey Seasons Begin

The kids' hockey season has officially kicked off. Canyon's first tournament was over Halloween weekend. Ron and Canyon headed up to Moorhead, MN with some other Dads to kick off the hockey season. While his team didn't do that well in the tournament, they did have a fun weekend thanks to all of Dad's efforts leading and coordinating for the team!

Presley is having a blast on her 10U A team. She's working hard on her shot and enjoying playing with her pals. They have just had a couple of scrimmages so far but the team looks to have a fun and strong season!
