Canyon Turns 13 (A Teenager - Yikes!) and Presley Turns 11 (Following Fast!)

This year we promised each of the kids their own birthday party. Canyon decided to have 25 kids (boys and girls) over for a party. Presley wanted to have a spa sleepover with 15 of her closest friends. Both were a ton of fun for the kids (and a bit stressful for Mom and Dad). But we survived them both. Here are some of the excerpts...

Canyon's party came the weekend before their birthday. This was the first boy/girl party we hosted. We made sure we had lots of fun activities planned including: a "how well do you know Canyon" trivia contest, Qdoba for dinner, Just Dance on the new Xbox, foosball, a photo booth station with a polaroid camera, a bonfire and smore station, and sledding in the back yard. We didn't get lots of pictures because we were trying to stay on top of all the activities. But we did have Presley and her friend also on monitoring duty. They seemed to have the most fun at the photo station. About 5 of the boys slept over and we ended with some more pictures, more xbox and a pancake breakfast. Boy do boys eat a lot!! Happy 13th birthday Canyon!

Presley's birthday came the weekend after their birthday. She had 15 of her friends over for a pasta dinner, foot massage and wraps, facials with cucumbers, and a movie. It was truly a "girls" night because Canyon and Dad were up north for a hockey scrimmage weekend. Mom survived and all the girls seemed to really get into the spa theme. We also finished her party with a pancake breakfast in the morning.

MN Cup Kick off in Eden Prairie

Mom is on the planning committee for the MN Cup, the largest entrepreneurial competition in the United States. This year, we kicked off the competition season in Eden Praire at the Green Acres Barn with 350 guests and Ron performing as the musical guest! It was a great event. We continued the fun back at the Pergande home with one of Trisha's former colleagues and some other friends. Fun night!

10UA Wins Skate for the Roses Tournament

Presley's team competed in the 10UA tournament in Stillwater the weekend of 2/6 - 2/8. Her team took first place -- their first big tournament win of the season!! They beat Bloomington, Wayzata, and Chisago Lakes to bring home the title! Way to go girls!
