Throw Back 80s Party

After the district festival, Ron and Trisha headed to Uptown for a friend's 40th birthday party with an 80s prom theme. It was an awesome night with everyone all decked out, a great DJ and dancing, and great decorations. You could even call Jenny at 867-5309 for a ride home!! Happy Birthday Amol!

Canyon's and Presley's District Band Festival

How awesome is this? Canyon and Presley are actually in the same event!! It was great watching both Presley and Canyon in the district band festival with grades 5th - 12th. Looking forward to this event for the next couple of years! Canyon sitting at 11:00 in the "black clothing" section. Presley sitting at 4:00 in the "multi-colored clothing" section.

Presley Takes the Polar Bear Plunge

Presley decided to take the Polar Bear Plunge into the icy waters this year to raise money for Special Olympics on March 14th. She took the plunge with many of her classmates from Eagle Heights. She donated $75 of her own money to the cause. Fun event for a great cause!

Mom Travels to Breckenridge to Visit Her Friend Kim

Mom's pal Kim and her family recently moved to Breckenridge. We wanted to get the whole family to visit this year but with hockey schedules and Dad's travel schedule, a family visit wasn't possible. So Mom escaped for 3 days to spend some quality time with Kim and her family. Wow is Breckenridge beautiful! I can see why they moved here and why they want to stay. Mom experienced a little bit of everything while she was there. Hope we can visit them again next year!

Presley and Mom visit the Eden Prairie Ice Castle

This winter, they built a huge ice castle in Eden Prairie (1 of 4 built in the country this year). It has been on our list of places to visit but we didn't get there until the last weekend it was open (March 8th). It was a beautiful sunny day and a great day to visit. It's a huge castle filled with slides, mazes, caves, waterfalls, and even Olaf from Frozen. Presley and Mom had a blast. We ended our girls' date with a trip to a coffee shop for a latte and hot chocolate! Yum.

Presley's 10UA Team Takes 1st in Silver Division - End of Season Tournament

Presley had a blast on this year's hockey team. The season is now over. For the end of season tournament, Presley and her pal Taylor got to be the team captains. They lost their first game but ended on a high with an intense win over Minnetonka. Way to go girls!

Oscar Party 2015

Trisha and some of her friends committed to seeing all the best picture nominees both in 2014 and 2015. This year, Trisha hosted an Oscar party with about 20 ladies (and Presley and two of her friends). It was a super fun night and maybe a new tradition. Here's Trisha with the two pals that sneak out to see all the movies!!

Presley is Growing Up

Presley got a new curling iron from one of her friends for her birthday this year. She was very excited to try it out. Our little girl is growing up.....

Peewee AA End of Season Highlights

Canyon's Eden Prairie hockey season is winding down for the 2014-15 season. He has had a good season with some great kids and great families. In February, there were two awesome activities that the boys really enjoyed. The first was the Brainerd weekend scrimmage weekend. Ron and Canyon headed to Brainerd where the boys enjoyed three fun games and lots of fun times in the waterpark.





In February, one of Canyon's teammates and his family hosted a 2-on-2 tournament for the team and the families on a beautiful winter day. The boys paired off in bracket play for some fun scrimmages. Canyon and his teammate Jake came in 2nd for the day. While the boys played, the parents enjoyed some great food and bonding inside. Super fun day for the team.
