Summer Fun Nights

The Pergandes are always looking for a fun adventure and new experiences to make our summer memorable. This past weekend included a trip to the Canterbury Park where the kids got their first experience betting ("parents betting") on the horses while enjoying live music and a beautiful summer night. We netted a little behind but had some small wins which made the experience fun for all (even though Presley always gives us her "serious face").

Both kids ended the year with great report cards from school. To celebrate, they each get to go out for dinner with a friend to celebrate a great year. For Presley's celebration, she brought her friend Taylor to Betty Danger's, a new restaurant in Minneapolis with a ferris wheel that you can eat and drink on, a miniature golf course that meanders through the patio, and delicious food! Canyon's night out coming up soon!

Summer Days

Presley and Canyon (and Mom) have busy summer schedules filled with summer sports camps (soccer, hockey, golf), summer lessons (batting, skating, swimming, babysitting), relaxing at home (reading, puzzling, shooting pucks, arts and crafts, baking), and spending time with friends (at the beach, at Valley Fair, at the park). We are only through two weeks of summer and I am amazed at how much these kids have done. They also have put together a summer goals list that included academic goals, physical goals, and just for fun goals! Fun to watch (and a bit sad too) these kids become such independent souls!

U11 C1+ Soccer Team and 13AAA Baseball Bring Home the Hardware

Presley's team is having a great season with 2 championship tournament wins under their belt. Here is a picture from their most recent win at the Lakeville tournament.

Canyon's team is building momentum, taking places in both the Edina tournament and the Burnsville tournament. Here is a picture from their 3rd place finish in the Burnsville tournament.

Last Week of School

The last week of school was very eventful in the Pergande household. Presley's week was filled with themed days and a ride to school in a firetruck with the neighbors. Canyon was recovering in the hospital from a case of pneumonia and severe dehydration. In the end all is very good and we are blessed to have healthy and hardworking students. They both had great years in school. Happy Summer to our now 6th and 8th graders!

Thank you to the Checco family for including Presley on the fire truck ride...

Canyon spent two full days in the hospital. We had a surprise visit from his baseball coach and upon leaving a great surprise gift of treats from his whole baseball team! Great support from a great team! Canyon was able to attend the last day of school with his friends.
