Broken Arm - Two Casts

Not everyone gets two casts for the same broken arm. Presley hurt her arm, playing at a friends house. We went to the Orthopedic doctor in the morning and it looks like she has a small fracture in her arm and in her hand. She chose purple for her cast color. She was okayed to play all her favorite activities like soccer and hockey (although she has to bubble wrap her arm in soccer so she doesn't hurt anyone else). However, after a couple of days her arm started hurting again and she was afraid the cast was loosening up. They ended up giving her another cast (this time she chose pink). Hopefully all is well. Getting the arm looked at after a couple of weeks.

Memorial Day Weekend Camping at Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park

We went on our annual camping trip with our friends, the Holjes. This year we headed to Forestville/Mystery Cave State park. The weather was a bit precarious with lots of on and off rain and a pretty chilly weather. However, it did not stop the adventures. We enjoyed campfires, hiking and touring the historic Forestville town from 1899, archery in the park, fishing for trout, and caving at Mystery Cave. When the weather got too rainy, we headed bowling for a break from the rain. The kids had a blast, we all ate extremely well, and we hit an all time high without showering for 3 days! It was an amazing a weekend and continues the family tradition!

Mom at General Mills National Sales Meeting

Mom had a quick trip for the annual General Mills National Sales meeting, which is always filled with great speakers and great events. This year, we ran a 5K around and in the LA Colliseum, where the 1984 Olympics were held. We also had great speakers like Magic Johnson and the Band Perry. Fun event but excited to get back home to the family.

Spring Sports Get A Slow Start

This was by far the longest winter we have ever experienced with snow days coming in May. Spring sports were off to a slow start. Presley will be playing Soccer this spring and Canyon will be playing baseball. They both have some hockey, which has actually worked out well this spring with the slow transition because of the weather. Presley is playing with the U10 Ice Edge Bandits.
