Boys Head to Canada. Presley Participates in USA Soccer Cup.

Canyon's 14AAA season ended strong. The team made it to the final day of the tournament. They took 2nd in the consolation bracket but got a lot of baseball in this final weekend. Right after the tournament, Ron and Canyon headed for the border for a couple of days of fishing with some other dads/sons. Their trip came with some hiccups, including not having their passports when they arrived at the border. They had to stay an extra day on the USA side until their passports arrived (after being couriered to the airport and then taking a flight with Delta Dash). Still had 3 nice days of fishing (and some great dad/son bonding).

While the boys were away, Presley and Mom spent a lot of time in Blaine, MN, the location of the USA Youth Soccer Cup, the largest youth soccer competition in the Western Hemisphere. It included 1,200 teams for over all over the world ranging from Ghanda to Iceland to Costa Rica to Japan. The competition included a great opening ceremonies (much like the olympics) with all the teams walking in and then a lighting of the torch and a fireworks show. Presley's team played great during the tournament, making it to the championship bracket for the highest level at their age group. Presley also played great, including winning a shootout (she's the goalie). Her team ultimately lost in an overtime game but we were very proud of how her team played for the last event of their season together.
