Smoky Mountains - Day 2

From the top of Mt. Leconte, we awoke to the most beautiful sunrise (at least Mom did). We enjoyed a pancake breakfast before heading back down the mountain. The hike down went much faster than the way up but we made time to enjoy the hike from a different vantage point, including hiking through the clouds, playing some games and taking some more pictures.

We were happy to find that our stuff had not been taking from our truck and we headed to our campsite at the Smokemount Campground. Our site was snuggled between two other campsites. We set up camp, enjoyed some dinner on our new tripod grate, and were pleasantly surprised that our neighbor campers were this amazing blue grass band that had decided to put on a great show for the evening. What a treat!
