Australia - Day 5 - Enjoying Fitzroy Island

For our last full day with the Menzies, we enjoyed a full day on the Island. We got up at 6:15 am with the full tide to head down to the beach and go snorkeling and look for the big sea turtles. Hannah was amazing and spotted several sea turtles and a sting ray. We were also blessed to see the most amazing and vibrant double rainbow ever. Definitely worth the early morning rise.

Our day then continued with a hike to the summit and lighthouse on the island. On our way to the trailhead, we spotted a huge iguana. The crew did great and we all enjoyed our time at the summit.







After summiting, we took the trail to the lighthouse to enjoy a view from the other side of the island before heading back down to the resort.




For our last night out, we enjoyed a nice sunset toast at Foxy's and then a great family dinner to celebrate our time together. Can't wait for our next adventure with the Menzies family... hopefully in 2016!
