Australia - Day 6 - Last Day on Fitzroy and Back to Cairns

We hugged the Menzies and Grandma Harriet goodbye on Wednesday. The Pergandes spent some more time exploring the island. We rose early again to search for sea turtles at high tide. Canyon was determined to beat the island record for reaching the summit and looping back. We timed him and he did in less than 35 minutes! Wow! While he raced to the summit, Mom, Dad, and Presley explored the secret garden trail in a much more leisurely way.






In the afternoon, the kids enjoyed lunch at Foxy's while Mom and Dad hiked to Nudey Beach (not really a nude beach) where they enjoyed their last snorkel on the reef. We caught the 4:30 boat back to Cairns and checked into Il Palazzo Apartments, our newest home for the trip. We went to the Night Markets for some dinner and settled in early to get ready for our next couple of days of adventure.
